Hirra keeps your cat's health record on your device. We do not run an account system, we do not use analytics or advertising, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.
The cat profiles, daily check-ins, weights and notes you enter are saved locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. This information stays on your device, and on the devices signed in to your own iCloud if you enable iCloud for the app. It is not transmitted to us.
You are in control of your data at all times. Open Settings inside Hirra and tap Delete all data to erase every cat profile, log and note from your device, and from your iCloud if you enabled it. Because the record lives on your device rather than on our servers, this removes it completely. The AI triage request is never retained on our side, so there is nothing for us to delete; deleting the app removes everything that remains on the device.
No personal identifiers, no location, no contacts, no usage analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking across apps or websites.
If you subscribe to Hirra Plus and choose to use AI vet triage, the request you send includes the symptom note you write, any photo you attach, a brief health summary compiled from your cat's recent logs (such as weight, water and appetite trends and any active early-warning flags) so the guidance is tailored to your cat, and a signed App Store receipt token used only to confirm your subscription. The request is handled by our service running on Cloudflare Workers, which passes it to an AI model provided by Anthropic (Claude) to generate the guidance. It is sent securely for that single request and used only to return guidance. None of it is stored on our side or by the model provider, used to train models, used to identify you, tied to an account, or sold. If you dictate by voice, speech is handled by Apple's speech recognition, on your device where the device supports it, and only the resulting text is sent. The free app uses no server.
If you turn on a daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device. No reminder data leaves your phone.
When you choose to find a vet, Hirra opens Apple Maps with a search. We do not send any of your cat's information in that handoff.
Hirra's early-warning notes are general guidance to help you notice changes and decide whether to see a vet. They are not a medical diagnosis. Always consult a qualified veterinarian about your cat's health.
Hirra is intended for adult cat owners and is rated 12+. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. See the sections above for exactly what the app does and does not collect.
If Hirra later adds features that change how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the date above revised.
